Abstract: Objective To study the blood lipid changes after intensive hypoglycemic therapies with insulin aspart 30 versus repaglinide in the newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients with dyslipidemia. Methods 80 patients with type 2 diabetes were randomized into either insulin aspart 30 or repaglinide treatment for 12 weeks. The the changes of the blood glucose and blood lipids were compared. Results After theapy,FPG,2hPG,HbA1c,TC,TG,LDL-C decreased significantly (P<0.05),HDL-C was increased significantly(P<0.01)as compared with pretherapy. The TG and LDL-C were positively correlated with HbA1c. Conclusion sThe intensive hypoglycemic therapy in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients can reduce the levels of FPG,2hPG and HbA1c and improve lipid profile significantly. As compared with repaglinide, the improvement amplitudes of TG,LDL-C and TC are greater in insulin aspart 30.
