Abstract: Objective To investigate the change of serum adiponectin level and the correlation of serum adiponectin with serum lipids. Methods 110 T2DM patients were devided into diabetic ketosis group, and non-diabetic ketosis group.54 healthy persons were chosen as normal control group.Patients’ height, weight,BMI were measured respectively and fasting blood samples were taken for detecting adiponectin,glucose,HbA1c and lipids. Results Serum adiponectin was significantly lower in T2DM patients than in normal control group(P<0.01).Serum adiponectin level was lower in diabetic ketosis patients than in non-diabetic ketosis patients(P<0.01) and negatively correlated with HbA1c,TC,TG and positively correlated with HDL-C during ketosis period. Conclusion Adiponectin level becomes lower after diabetic ketosis and returns to the pre-ketosis level after ketosis disappars
