Abstract: Objective To define the difference of plasma acylation-stimulating protein(ASP) before and after oral fat load and to explore the relation of plasma ASP with free fatty acids(FFA),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),plasma glucose(PG) and insulin(Ins). Methods 18 healthy subjects were given oral fat load after fasting for 10~12h.Blood examples were drawn before and 2 hours after giving fat load for determining the concentration of PG,Ins,TG,TC and ASP.ASP and FFA were determined by ELISA.Results Postprandial plasma ASP concentration[(21.26±5.75)nmol/L]was not significantly lower than fasting ASP[(24.33±9.51)nmol/L](P>0.05).Linear correlation analysis showed fasting plasma acylation-stimulating protein was positively correlated with BMI,Ins,fasting and postprandial plasma TG(r=0.3224,P=0.0305;r=0.4694,P=0.0494;r=0.4339,P=0.0437;r=0.4869,P=0.0405;respectively).Postprandial plasma ASP was positively correlated with fasting Ins,fasting and postprandial plasma FFA(r=0.4510,P=0.0466;r=0.4746,P=0.0466;r= 0.4510,p=0.0457;respectively) Conclusion Plasma ASP concentration is positively correlated with BMI,Ins,TG,FFA
