Comparison of therapeutic effects between two kinds of short-term intensive insulin treatments in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients

Abstract： 72 newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients were randomly divided into continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion(CSII)group and multiple subcutaneous insulin injection(MSII)group.The results showed that the short-term treatment of CSII and MSII could improve the β-cell function and lessen the insulin resistance in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients,and CSII might be more effective.The effect was correlated to the course,levels of blood glucose,insulin,and C-peptide before treatment.
