Serum adiponectin concentrations in patients with essential hypertension and impaired glucose tolerance

Abstract： The study of NGT(n=30),IGT(n=13),hypertension plus NGT(HT+ NGT,n =17) and HT plus IGT(n= 28) showed that adiponectin levels(mg/L) were lower in HT+ NGT group vs NGT(4.3±1.7vs7.1±3.6),lower in HT+IGT groupvsIGT(4.0±2.1vs6.6±1.4)(allP<0.05),and not different between NGT and IGT;negatively correlated with DBP,TG,C-pep-tide(allP<0.05,r=-0.33,-0.32,-0.32 respectively) in IGT(n=41) and negatively correlated with BMI and SBP(allP<0.05,r=-0.39,-0.34 respectively) in NGT group.
