Abstract: Objective To observe the adiponectin receptors(AdpR) mRNA expression in adipose tissues of obese patients and its relations with serum adiponectin, TNF-α, FFA. Methods AdpR mRNA expression level, fasting plasma insulin(FIns),glucose(FPG),lipids, adiponectin, TNF-α,FFA were determined in 19 subjects with obesity. Results (1)The adiponectin receptors mRNA expressions showed no significant differences between abdominal subcutaneous and omental adipose tissues and between obesity and normal controls(all P>0.05). Obesity group showed the higher levels of TG,VLDL-C,FIns, TNF-α and FFA than did normal controls (P<0.05~P<0.01), and showed the lower serum adiponectin level than did normal controls (2)In the 48 subjects observed, the expression level of adiponectin receptors mRNA in abdominal subcutaneous adipose tissue was negatively correlated with serum adiponectin, FFA, FIns and HOMA-IR (P<0.05~P<0.01), and was positively correlated with ISI (P<0.05 and <0.01 respectively).(3) In obese subjects, adiponectin was negatively correlated with BMI, FFA, FIns and HOMA-IR (P<0.05~P<0.01), and was positively correlated with ISI (P<0.01); FFA level was positively correlated with plasma TG,LDL,FIns(all P<0.05). Conclusions Serum TNF-α and FFA levels are higher, and serum adiponectin is lower in obese subjects than those in normal controls, while adiponectin receptors mRNA expressions are not significant different between the two groups.Adiponectin receptors, fasting insulin, adiponectin and FFA are good indexes in evaluating the insulin sensitivity.
