Abstract: Objective To explore the relationships of serum levels of leptin,TNF-α,FFA and resistin with IR and between themselves. Methods 48 T2DM patients and 47 non-diabetic controls were selected.Levels of leptin,TNF-α,FFA and resistin were measured.FPG,insulin, blood lipid, blood pressure,BMI and WHR were measured. Results The levels of leptin,TNF-α,FFA and resistin were correlated positively with HOMA-IR(P<0.05-0.01).There were the postive correlations between any two of the levels of leptin,TNF-α,FFA and resistin except for between leptin and resistin.BMI,TG,TNF-α and resistin were the independent risk factors for HOMA-IR in T2DM.(Conclusion)BMI,TG,TNF-α and resistin as independent risk factors for IR may be involved in T2DM development.
