Ultrasound frequency was 42 kHz and ultrasou nd energy was 45 watts. Results The ultrasound ablation was s uccessful in 61 of 66 patients (92.4%). After the treatment the gangrene was m itigated in 21 of 29 patients. The rest pain was improved in 29 of 35 patients . Long-term efficacy was 83.3%.
