Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship among ventricular arrhythmia(VA) ,ventricular late potential(VLP) and corrected QT dispersion (QTcd) in coronary heart disease(CHD) with diabetes mellitus(T2DM). Methods 364 patients with coronary heart disease were divided into two groups: group of coronary heart disease with diabetes mellitus (CHD+T2DM, n=178) and group of coronary heart disease without diabetes mellitus (CHD,n=186).Holter ECG, ventricular late potential and corrected QT dispersion were measured. Results Occurrence rate of ventricular arrhythmia in CHD+T2DM group was significantly increased compared with CHD group (P<0.01). Positive rate of ventricular late potential in CHD+T2DM group was significantly increased compared with CHD group(P<0.01). Increase of corrected QT dispersion in CHD+T2DM group was significantly higher compared with CHD group (P<0.01). Conclusion Changes in occurrence rate of ventricular arrhythmia, positive rate of ventricular late potential and increase of corrected QT dispersion are related not only to the damage of cardiac structure and function in coronary heart disease but also to the damage of cardiac structure and function in diabetes mellitus.
