Abstract: Objective To explore the sffective method on treat ureteral calculi. Methods 2615 cases of ureteral calculi treated with B-Ultrasound orientation ESWL from January 2004 to October 2009 were studied retrospectively. Results The calculi fragmentation rate was 95.33% ( 2493/2615 ), 81.72% ( 2137/2493 ) of which being fragmented on the fist treatment session. The defective rate was 3.71% (97/2615) , and the ineffective rate was 0.96% (25/2615), no serious syndrome occurred. Conclusion ESWL is the treatment of the first choice for ureteral calculi, but the URS or PCNL is the fine choice if the ureteral arised diseases.
