Abstract: Objective To evaluate the effects of location of lesions on diagnostic results of ultrasonic elastography(UE). Methods 681 patients with 885 breast lesions were examined by UE. In cording to the dis- tance(D)from the button of lesion to body surface, the patients divided into three groups(Group Ⅰ:D < 1 cm; Group Ⅱ : 1 cm≤ D < 2 cm ; Group Ⅲ : D > 2 cm). Ultrasonic elastogram was evaluated according to the im- proved five-score. The lesions with Score 4,5 were diagnosed as malignancy, and the lesions with Score less than 3 were diagnosed as benignancy. Results There was no significant difference in the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of UE for diagnosing breast malignance in three groups. Conclusion The location of lesions did not affect the diagnostic results of UE.
