Abstract： Objective To investigate the change of heart function and endocrine hormones in patients with chronic congestive heart failure(CCHF) by candesartan treatment.Methods 80 patients with CCHF were randomly divided into:observation group( n =40) and control group( n =40) ;control group given routine cardiac stimulant and diuretic treatment;Observation group on based in the control group given candesartan tablets 4mg/d,1 week after increasing the dose to 8 mg/d,treated for 8 weeks.Results The total effective 87.5 ％ in observation group were significantly higher than 70.0％ in control group ( x2 =3.785,P ＜ O.05 ) ; The index of SBP,DBP,HR,6min walk test before and after treatment in two groups were significantly different (t =2.233,2.241,2.305,2.207,all P ＜ 0.05) ;The index of PRA,Ang Ⅱ,ALD,B NP before and after treatment in two groups were significantly different (t =2.221,2.145,2.314,2.307,all P ＜0.05 ) ; The index of LVEDD,LVEF before and after treatment in two groups were significantly different(t =2.241,2.215,all P＜0.05).Conclusion Candesartan could increase the efficacy of CHF and improve heart function.
