Abstract: The summative evaluation is given priority in the medical education of China,which places too much emphasis on learning outcomes of students.The formative evaluation is short which pays attention to student learning process.In order to improve the method,promote efficiency,it was tried to employ various methods of formative evaluation in the pharmacology course,such as the records of classroom observation,the homework,the records of learning process,the self-study records and test online and so on.The questions and something that need to pay attention to were analyzed and discussed.
