Abstract： This paper describes the merging process and background of the former Peking University and the former Peking Medical University to form the new Peking University and its management model.It analyzes the characteristics of the merging model of the two universities and the distinctiveness of medical education.The author believes that with the relatively independent management,the medical education after merging respects the law of medical education,ensures its integrity and complies with its development tendency.It is a successful model.
