Abstract： This paper assumes that the concept of education should be established in order to improve the quality of medical education. Based on the connotation of education ideas, combining with the understanding of current higher medical education development trend and present situation of higher medical colleges and universities education reform, this paper argues that the comprehensive quality education concept, elite education concept, humanist education, lifelong education ideas and concepts, internationalization and characteristic education philosophy are the most important concepts that medical colleges and universities must establish. This paper mainly analyzes specific embodiment of the basic connotation of various education concepts, objectivity and inevitability and in improving the quality of medical education.
