Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of case-based teaching method used in pediatrics nursing. Methods The objects of this research were 159 nursing students of grade 2006 in Quanzhou Medical College. The experimental group was used case-based teaching method, the control group was used the traditional teaching method during pediatrics nursing. Results The terminal examination results of experimental group was higher than that of the control group. Conclusions Case-based teaching method has great values in improving students' enthusiasm of learning, expanding their depth and scopes of knowledge,and it is prominence in cultivating students' capability of self-study and integrated analysis. Thus it could improve the teaching effect.
