Abstract: The roles of tutors are quite different in problem-based learning(PBL)teaching from traditional lecture-based medical training.Tutors play potential roles in the areas of choosing cases,providing problems,guiding the learning process and making comments.During the PBL teaching of internal medicine probation,it was the tutors'responsibility to prepare valuable problems based on teaching contents,organize efficient discussion and provide essential support for students'active learning.
