Abstract： PBL is the abbreviation of problem-based learning,as one of the medical teaching methods,was practiced otiginally at McMaster University,and has been adopted by few medical universities in China since 1980s'.But for some reasons it couldn't be spread nationwide.This paper first analyzed why it couldn't be adopted by most medical universities in China,and then based on the experience of some single course testing by conducted PBL utilizing computer network,come up with and forming a new PBL teaching model:PBL based on computer network platform which integrating the concepts of PBL and the technology of modern computer network education.
