Abstract： In this paper present mental health work in China was analyzed. It showed that the special nature of mental illness restrieted the development of psychological medical education, the changes of mental illness structure influenced the inherent structure of psychological medical education and the objective reality of mental illness called for psychological medical education reform. Some suggestions about psychological medical education for the future were given as well.
