Abstract: This paper aims to explore the necessity and feasibility of establishing a student-centered medical education system. The starting point and the destination of medical education must be the object of teaching-students, the education must be student-centered; meanwhile, the teaching objective and the curriculum design have to be in line with the social needs. The medical education system does not refer to the collections of all kinds of courses, but an organic system that highlights explicit objective and aims to yield the optimal result of teaching through the network of seemingly independent courses which are in fact interrelated. The objective of medical education system should be established with consideration of three factors: knowledge, ability and personality and should manifest itself in the organization structure of the system.
