Abstract： The difficulty of employment for medical students has become the common focus of society,family and students.To survey the employment trend of the medical undergraduates on five-year program,we have investigated the medical students from Medical College of Tongji University and the other university in Shanghai.We have also inquired the principals of 81 hospitals in Shanghai to find out what kind of employees they would desire.It is showed that some difference exist between the two medical colleges in selection for graduate study or hunting for job,motivation fox obtaining job,preference of the factors that affect hunting for job and the selection for the hospitals.Hospitals prefer local students and male students.We analyzed the reasons lied behind and put forward some proposals for enhancing the employment rate of the medical students.
