Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship between the Ski expression in colorectal cancer and clinicopathological parameters. Methods The Ski expression was detected by immunohistochemistry in colorectal cancer and adjacent normal tissues. Results The positive rate of Ski protein in colorectal cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in adjacent normal tissues (61.76%versus 38.24%,P=0.02).The positive rate of Ski protein in colorectal cancer was related to depth of tumor invasion (P=0.03),metastasis of lymph node (P=0.005),and 5-year survival rate (P=0.005),but was not related to sex,age or differentiation of tumor (P>0.05).Conclusion The Ski is overexpressed in colorectal cancer tissues and associated with invasion, metastasis and prognosis of colorectal cancer.
