Abstract: Objective To study antioxidation ofDi-(3β-hydroxyandrost-5-en-17-one) ester (AST), a new compound which was structure derivated from active substance from Asterias amurensis. Methods Samples of tissues homogenates were pretreated with AST, then, addition of FeSO4+Cysteine(Cys) or not, the generation of malondialdehyde(MDA) was examined. Results The production of lipid peroxides in normal cardiac, liver homogenate of rat and rabbit,elevation of production of lipid peroxides induced by and FeSO4+Cys in. homogenate Conclusions AST have the effect of antilipid peroxidation on rats and rabbits' cardiac and liver tissue.
