Abstract： Objective To explore the cultivation and teaching situation of caring ability of nursing students in China so as to provide evidence for further teaching reform.Methods Papers on caring ability of nursing students research,which were updated to December of 2011 in China,were retrieved from CBM,CNKl,WAN FANG DATA,and VIP database.These papers were analyzed by the methods of bibliometrics and content analysis.Results A total of 45 papers published were retrieved,which came from different levels colleges and general hospitals,and included different education degree nursing students such as technical secondary school,college and bachelor.And the focus of study were caring ability training,present situation investigation and influence factors analysis.The types of literature mostly were situation investigation and the qualitative research was little.Conclusions In China,more and more attention is paid on the research of caring ability cultivation of nursing students,and the influencing factors and training strategies are put forward grandly.While the specific teaching content,teaching strategy,compilation of teaching materials,curriculum setting and evaluation methods need to further study.
