Abstract: It has been a hotspot that whether there is difference between selenium-enriched yeast and sodium selenite on daily gain of broiler chicken for long time. There are disagreements among current researches, and it is urgent needed to give a judgment for their effectiveness, while too much researches, complex of experimental designs and un-quantitative characteristics of traditional review prevented it to be solved. So a Meta-analysis was performed by combining and quantitative previous results of different independent researches with common aim to give a more precious and reliable answer and avoid the subjectivity of previous researches. In this paper, the result of Meta-analysis showed even though the effect of sodium selenite was a bit greater than selenium-enriched yeast when 0.2 mg/kg selenium was supplied in diets, there was not a significant difference between selenium-enriched yeast and sodium selenite on daily gain of broiler chicken at late developmental stage (p>0.05).
