Abstract: An entropy-based statistic has been proposed by Zhao et al. for genomic association study for disease-susceptibility locus. We extend this theory to quantitative trait and obtain an entropy-based statistic for association analysis of quantitative-trait locus (QTL) using series of linked marker loci from extreme individuals in populations.
