Abstract: Lattice Boltzmann schemes for simulating food-chain populations described by the reaction-diffusion equations are investigated. Two examples, 1-D and 2-D systems, are made to show the efficiency and stability of this method. The numerical predictions are in good agreement with the available results. For the 2-D scheme, the maximum principle is proved and the stability is also obtained.
