Abstract： This paper studies the global dynamics of competition in chemostat in which two populations of microoganisms compete exploitatively for a single, essential, nonreproducing,growth-limiting substrate and there is a direct interference between competitors. In order to understand the differences in the effects of intraspecific and interspecific interference, the both cases are considered respectively.
