Abstract: p53 has been found to be the tumor suppressor gene most closely related to human tumor.MicroRNAs are highly conserved non-coding single-stranded endogenous small RNAs.The transcriptional regulation of microRNAs by p53 plays an important role in human tumorigenesis. The regulation between p53 and miRNAs is mutual.p53 can directly or indirectly regulate the expression of a variety of miRNAs,and many miRNAs can also modulate the function of p53.Abnormal expression has been observed for the transcriptional targets of p53,such as miR-34a,miR-125b,miR-150,miR-205,miR-221 in some skin tumors. With the advent of Post-Genomics Era,the role of miRNAs in cancer development has become the forefront of international researches. It has been confirmed that MicroRNAs are abnormally expressed in many tumor tissues.
