Abstract: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic complex autoimmune disorder with various clinical manifestations and laboratory abnormalities,which have made it difficult to evaluate disease activity.A reliable and sensitive evaluation system can provide essential evidence for the selection of treatment strategies and prediction of prognosis.SLE responder index (SRI),as a new composite measurement system that consists of criteria from 3 different validated indices,including safety of estrogens in lupus erythematosus national assessment-systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index (SELENA-SLEDAI),physician global assessment (PGA) and the British Isles Lupus Assessment Group (BILAG) 2004,can offer a better guide to the treatment and prediction of prognosis of SLE,so as to facilitate the maintenance of psychosomatic health and improvement of quality of life in patients with SLE.
