Abstract: A case of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) accompanied by psoriasis is reported. A 36-year-old man presented with a 2-year history of recurrent scaly erythema on the trunk and limbs. Half a month prior to the presentation, the station aggravated. Dermatological examination revealed slightly scaly and erythmatous patches measuring 1 -10 cm in diameter which were scattered on the scalp, face, trunk and limps. Auspitz's sign was positive. The involved area amounted for more than 90% of full skin. Screening and confirmation test for HIV antibodies was positive. The CD4+ cell count and CD4/CD8 ratio were 178.5/mm3 and 0.2, respectively. A diagnosis of AIDS accompanied by psoriasis was made, which predicts a poor prognosis.
