Abstract: A ease of giant pyogenic granuloma is reported.A 52-year-old female presented with a dusky erythematous mass on the left forehead for seven weeks.There was no evident symptom.Physical exami nations showed a dusky erythematous lobulated exophytic mass measuring in 5 cm×2 cm×1.5 am and covered with yellow-grey crusts and squamae.Histopathological examinations revealed hyperplastic tissue protruding from the papillomatous epidermis.Rete ridges were elongated in a collar-like fashion.A proliferation of blood vessels was noted in the dermis;some vessels were dilated,and some were lined by plump endothelial cells.CD31 and CD34 staining were positive in lesions,while Giemsa staining Was negative.A diagnosis of pyogenic granuloma Was made.The mass was excised surgically and no recurrence Was noted during a 22-month follow-up.
