Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of postoperative pain management on the patients with anal disease. Methods The 350 cases of anal surgery patients were randomly divided into the observation group ( n =178 ) and the control group ( n =172).The observation group was given a normal postoperative care and a standardized pain management by using " Changhai pain ruler" score table to evaluate the degree of postoperative pain.If the scores were more than 3,a pain treatment would be applied. An routine analgesic treatment was adopted in the control group when the pain in the wound was obvious with a measured score≥6.Analgesic effects and satisfaction were observed and compared in two groups patients. Results Pain scores, analgesic effect, the satisfaction with analgesic effect in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group ( P < 0.05 ) ; the average hospitalization days in observation group was less than that in the control group, and satisfaction with the sleep was higber than that in the control group (P <0.01),the difference was statistically significant. Conclusions Early standardized pain management can effectively relieve anal postoperative wound pain, increase patients'satisfaction, promote rehabilitation and shorten hospital stay.
