Abstract： Objective To investigate the influence of Orem self- care model on quality of life of rectal cancer patients after Miles.Methods A total of 62 cases of rectal cancer patients after Miles were randomly selected and divided into control and observation group with 31 patients in each group.Patients in control group were received with conventional care model,while in observation group with Orem self - care model,quality of life of two groups were compared.Results Compared with control group,the patients of observation group were significantly enhanced self - care ability and quality of life ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Through the application of Orem self - care model in Miles postoperative care of rectal cancer,patients are received treatment from a passive into active participation,improved self- care capacity and quality of life.
