Abstract: Objective To investigate the effects of exercise combined with music therapy on quality of life in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) . Methods Forty moderate and severe COPD patients were accepted rehabilitation training and music therapy for 6 months. Six min walk test (6 MWT) and quality of life evaluation were measured before and after exercise, and then make the statistical analysis. Results Six min walking distance were significantly longer in all patients after training ( P = 0.000); And all aspects of quality of life (daily living skills, social activity skills and symptoms of depression and anxiety) have significantly improved ( P =0.000) . Conclusions COPD patients treated with long-term, individual-oriented exercise combined with music therapy can be effective in improving their quality of life.
