Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of grading management training on central venous catheterization ( CVC ) and peripheral inserted central venous catheterization (PICC) . Methods A total of 369 registered clinical nurses in our hospital were chosen. The effect of CVC was compared before and after applying the grading management training. The data of theoretical knowledge and technical proficiency assessment, patients'satisfaction, once success rate and complications that we recorded before and after the training would be analyzed by statistical software. Results There were significant differences among the scores of CVC's and PICC's knowledge, technical proficiency, and the patients'satisfaction before and after practicing the grading management training (P < 0. 01 ) . Besides, the incidence of complications was also significantly decreased ( P < 0. 05 ) . Conclusions The practice of grading management training has achieved the expected goal that it can not only effectively build a grading management training platform for exchange of experiences, but also optimize the catheter placement procedure, decrease the incidence of complications, increase the patient's satisfaction on catheter insertion. Furthermore,it improve work initiative of the nurses and professional levels.
