Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical significance of disposable balloon catheter on the critically ill patients with fecal in continence. Methods Sixty cases of fecal incontinence in critically ill patients were randomly divided into experimental group ( 30 cases) and control group (30 cases), the experimental group was given a one -time balloon catheter to drain stool The control group was treated with drainage sliver stooL Two different methods were compared. Results The incidence of perianal skin changes of experimental group was significantly lower than the control group (P < 0. 05 ) . Conclusions Fecal incontinence in critically ill patients on the application of a one - time catheter drainage can effectively control the occurrence of skin eczema and bed sores to obtain good social and economic benefits.
