Abstract: Objective To explore the relationship between depression and the llfe quality of occupation-al disease patients. Methods 88 occupational disease were measured by self -rating depression scale (SDS), MOF SF -36 and PSQI.. Results 21 patients had symptom of depression. The prevalence of depression was 23.9%. The scores on eight dimensionality of quantity of patients in non -depression group were better than those in the depression group (P < 0. 01) . Conclusions There is significant correlation between the quality of life and depression of occupational diease patients. Therefore, enhancing cognizance and teaching occupational disease pa-tients and family numbers with the health of depressive symptom can improve the quantity life of occupational dis-ease patients.
