Abstract： Objective To probe BD intravenous catheter puncturing steps, tube -sealing technique, common nursing problems and treating tactics. Methods 368 patients were observed. According to the interrelated factors'study, including puncture sites and methods, retentive time, tube -sealing technique, etc. Results With the puncture method and technique being improved and the medical materials being renewed, the successful rote of BD intravenous catheter puncture were improved significantly, the common nursing problems were solved gradually, and the operating procedure were formed completely. Conclusions Intravenous catheter may relieve patients' pain, lighten blood vessels'stimulation, contribute to critical patients'salvage, improve nurses'efficiency. So it has been accepted by the patients and nurses and used widely in clinical nursing.
