Abstract： Objective To investigate the status of interpersonal communication ability and it's social influencing factors in female baccalaureate nursing students(BNFSs)in order to acquire the basis for improving nursing education.Methods 145 BNFSs were tested by Interpemonal Communication Ability Inventory(ICM).Results There was a significant statistic difference between the ICAI scores of BNFSs and that of the norm(t=-3.52,P=0.00).There was no statistic difference in ICAI sore at different grades(F=0.22,P=0.64),there were significance correlations between ICAI sore of BNFSs and the factors of age,mother's career,mother's educational level and parent's marriage(P≤0.05).31.03% of BNFSs thought the influencing factor of interpersonal communication ability was their parents and 28.27% of them thought that was their friends.Conclusion The interpersonal communication ability of BNFSs should be improved.Nursing educator should take variety measures to cultivate BNFS's communication ability.
