Abstract: AIM:To investigate the clinical value of liquidbased Thinprep Cytologic Test(TCT)technique and the Bethesda System(TBS)in the screening of cervical lesions.METHODS:From January 2007 to February 2009,7972 cases were detected by TCT and TBS.RESULTS:The positive cases were 268 out of 7972,including atypical squamons cells of undetermined signaficance(ASC-US)were in 204 cases(2.56%),low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion(LSIL)were in 31 cases(0.38%)and high grade squamous intraepithelial lesion(HSIL)were in 18 cases (0.23%);cervical carcinoma(CC)were in 5 cases(0.07%).CONCLUSION:TCT Can improve the positive screening rate of cervical lesions,which is an important method in the screening of eervieal cancer.
