Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology (CJPP), the official journal of the Chinese Association of Pathophysiology, is supervised by the China Association for Science and Technology, and published by Medical College of Jinan University. Pathophysiology is a bridge that links the basic medicine with clinical medicine. The CJPP publishes original researcharticles that illuminate the basic mechanisms of diseases at all levels ranging from molecules, cells to organs and systems, including experimental and clinical investigations. Major areas cover etiology, general pathological processes, such as inflammation, fever, infection, hypoxia, reperfusion injury, stress, shock, molecular pathophysiology and organic pathophysiology, including nervous system, heart and circulation sysytem, respiratory system, edocrine system, renal, urinary system, blood and immune systems, gastrointestinal and hepatic system and so on. Pathophysiological studies of drug action, in particular the component of Chinese herb, are also welcome. The CJPP publishes rapidly papers in which modern technologies are used to investigate molecular, cellular and physiological mechanisms of human diseases, articles that merely report observations are rarely considered. In addition to “Original Research Articles”, the CJPP also provides such columns as “Brief Research”,“Experimental Technique”, and “Review”.
