Chinese Journal of Pancreatology is the first national academic journal dedicated entirely to the research of pancreatic diseases. The journal is supervised by the China Association for Science and Technology and sponsored by the Chinese Medical Association. Founded in November 2001, the journal has officially joined in the serial journals published by Chinese Medical Association in 2008. Chinese Journal of Pancreatology delivers up-to-date, comprehensive, clinically oriented coverage of all areas in pancreatology, including the development of medical, surgical, radiological and laboratory research on pancreatic diseases. The aim of the journal is to function as a window into Chinese research on pancreatic diseases, promote the academic exchange and reflect the advances and progress in research of pancreatic disorders in China and overseas. It serves the objective of pushing forward the development of pancreatology in China. The journal is organized into the following sections to make material easy to find: Editorial, Experts Corner, Special Reports, Original Article, Short Communication, State-of-Art Lecture, Continuing Medical Education, Fellows’ Corner, Case Reports, Case Study and Academic Developments. The journal is a peer reviewed general journal for all doctors, researchers, and health care provider in the field of pancreatic diseases. The editorial board gathers the most of the subject leader in the research of pancreas in China, including 7 Academic Members. Since the foundation in 2001, the journal has published numerous valuable research papers and reports, and the journal has rapidly gained acceptance in the academic circle in China and abroad. In 2002, the journal was awarded as the Excellent Journal of East China region. In 2004, it was abstracted in Chinese Core Journal.
