The Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is the official journal of the Chinese Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Sponsored by the Chinese Medical Association, it is published monthly. With the mission of disseminating information and the ultimate goal of furthering the art and science of the practice of physical medicine and rehabilitation and interdisciplinary rehabilitation, and improving the health and welfare of persons with disabilities, the Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation covers the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation and also the more interdisciplinary field of rehabilitation. It is aimed at publishing scholarly work on the practice, research, and educational aspects of physical medicine and rehabilitation. The monthlypublished issues bring to readers authoritative information on the therapeutic utilization of physical and pharmaceutical agents in providing comprehensive care for persons with disabilities and chronically ill individuals, and keep physiatrists and other related practitioners up-to-date on the optimal functional restoration of patients with disabilities, physical treatment of neuromuscular impairments, the development of new rehabilitative technologies, and the use of electrodiagnostic studies. The papers published by the journal are under the categories of Editorials, Original Papers, Reviews, Clinical Case Reports, Continuing Medical Education and Brief Reports. The specific topics covered by the Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation include prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions, brain injury, spinal cord injury, cardiopulmonary disease, trauma, acute and chronic pain, amputation, prosthetics and orthotics, mobility, gait, and pediatrics as well as areas related to education and administration in rehabilitation medicine. Other important areas of interest include cancer rehabilitation, aging, and exercise.
